September Wrap Up : I Thought I Could Read More

Hello, readers of this post. Thank you for coming by to another monthly wrap up, which I post few times a year because I’m lazy. I have no other excuse. You know what, this is actually my first monthly wrap up in 2019! Great job, Jessica!

In the month of September, I got to read a total of 6 books. It is a lot for a slow reader like me but I was hoping to read more because we had so, so many holidays in Malaysia last month. Almost every single weekend became 3-4 days instead of just two. For instance, we had Hari Malaysia, which is on the 16th and the school I’m working in applied a day off on the Friday before (13th) because it was the Mooncake Festival. I got a total of 4 days of weekend that week alone. With all these days off, I don’t understand why I decided to procrastinate on reading.

Btw, have you heard about Lizzie McGuire is coming back? I love the show!

Sorry for the rambling, let me present you the 6 books I read in September 2019! You can read my full review by clicking the book cover. 🙂

I gave this book a solid 4 out of 5 star. It has a great story, that features one the state in Malaysia, which is Sabah.
I gave this one 3.5 out of 5 star. It was a bit slow for me yet it has an amazing story.

4/5 star because it has exceeded my expectation. Great magic system and one of the better Malay books I have read this year.

Easy 5/5 star. This book is one of the greatest sequel ever created!

3/5 star because I just didn’t feel connected with the story. It has a bit of fantasy and very dream-like ish kind of features, which I couldn’t get into.

Gave this compilation of short horror stories a 3/5 star as well. Some of the stories weren’t meant for me. However, I appreciate the Asian aspect of it.

Well, that’s it for my first monthly wrap up of the year. The best read of the month goes to A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer! I hope you enjoy reading this post. Bye! 😀

Sincerely, your (lazy)Asian blogger
